Abstract
A new modification of'Pb5Ge07 was formed by the simultaneous hydrolysis of lead and germanium alkoxides, followed by washing and drying. It has a hexagonal unit cell with a =0.7589 nm and c = 1.2421 nm. The chemical structure is described by the formula Pb5(GeO4)O3. Hexagonal Pb5GeO7 transforms to the orthorhombic modification at 460° to 485°C.Keywords
