Abstract
This note presents an investigation into the susceptibility of a silty clay of medium sensitivity to earthquake-induced creep. Using undisturbed samples of estuarine clay representative of the upper member of the youngest deposit underlying the body and margin of San Francisco Bay, a series of experiments was performed to determine the undrained compressive strength of the samples after seismic loading. Results are presented and conclusions described. Keywords
