Lifetimes and Nuclear Moments inOs192andPt192

Abstract
Lifetimes, nuclear g factors, and E2M1 mixing ratios have been determined in Os192 and Pt192, and some previous determinations reevaluated. The following values have been established. For Os192: g2=+0.29±0.05; δ(484)=+7.61.3+2.4. For Pt192: τ2=50.0±3.4 psec; τ2=29±3 psec; g2=+0.296±0.022; g2=+0.29±0.05; δ(604)=+2.5±0.2; δ(308)=6.30.6+0.5. Nuclear magnetic moments are analyzed in terms of Greiner's vibrational-rotational model, transition probabilities and E2M1 mixing ratios are compared to the theoretical predictions of Kumar and Baranger's model.
