What Does Relativity Mean?

Abstract
Arecent discussion in Nature has raised again the old problem of the clock paradox. A traveller moves at high speed to a star and returns. Owing to the "relativistic contraction of time," the journey takes a shorter time for him than for the inhabitants of the Earth, so that he returns in all respects younger than he would have been had he stayed at home.
