Abstract
A previously undescribed component of the cell wall polysaccharide of P. acnes, 2,3-diamino-2,3-dideoxyglucuronic acid, was identified and synthesized. The component occurs to the extent of about 3-5% in the wall polysaccharides of P. acnes types I and II and in P. avidum types I and II; it also appears to be present, but in much smaller amounts, in the cell wall of P. granulosum.This publication has 27 references indexed in Scilit:
