Abstract
Of 16 carbohydrates tested, arabinose, glucose, sucrose, fructose and xylose yielded the most acid, when mixed cultures of organisms from molasses legume and grass silage were grown in media containing 2% of carbohydrate. Less acid was produced by cultures from aged silage. No differences in acid production between crops or levels of molasses additions were apparent. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
