Abstract
An assessment is made of the value of relational methods for the computer representation and processing of spatial data. As a particular problem, the conversion of map data from one format to another is investigated. It is suggested that relational methods will provide valuable tools for work in this field, especially if there is further development and adaptation directed towards techniques needed for dealing with spatial data. Keywords
