Abstract
A study of 50 coagulase-positive Staphylococcus cultures on 4 tellurite-glycine formulae showed some inhibition of these organisms by the medium. This inhibition can be removed partially by altering and enriching the N source, increasing mannitol and yeast extract concentrations and lowering the glycine concentration. Tellurite formulae that showed the greatest inhibition with pure cultures behaved similarly when coagulase-positive staphylococci were determined in raw milk. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
