Abstract
ZOXAZOLAMINE (Flexin) is a relatively new skeletal-muscle relaxant that is potent and has a long duration of action, a wide margin of safety and no cumulative effects.1 Amols2 believes its site of action to be in the central nervous system, where it depresses the polysynaptic pathways and is assumed to have little, if any, effect on monosynaptic reflex arcs, motor nerves, the myoneural junction or muscle itself.Because of its spasmolytic properties, the drug will undoubtedly come into widespread use in many neurologic and musculoskeletal disorders.
