Abstract
P. carinii pneumonia can only be diagnosed once the microorganism is demonstrated. Various staining technique are reviewed and illustrated and the specific advantages of each are discussed. All samples must be systematically examined both by phase contrast microscopy and by light microscopy after Gomori-Grocott and Gram-Weigert stains. Electron micrographs are given. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
