Abstract
Five cases of a benign form of acute pericarditis are descr. Recovery is usually complete in 2 or 3 mos., but relapses may occur. The condition must be differentiated from rheumatic and tuberculous pericarditis, from primary pleurisy and from myocardial infarction. The importance of serial ecgs. and roentgenograms is stressed.
