Abstract
Two methods are described that permit the determination of potentials from molecular scattering experiments. The potentials under consideration are of the Lennard‐Jones type. Both methods apply to highenergy scattering, where the Born approximation is suitable for determination of the high angular momentum phase shifts. The methods are first checked against the exact calculations of Bernstein and then applied to the determination of the potential parameters of the krypton—lithium system. Finally, a partial analysis of the argon—lithium system is done. It provides an efficiency test for the high‐energy approximation method.
