Abstract
Study of the luminescence at low temperature of 6 dinucleotides has demonstrated transfer of excitation energy between the 2 bases. In the case of 3 of these dinucleotides, the transfer occurs in a nonambiguous manner between the triplet states of the 2 bases. In these cases the acceptor is adenine, with either guanlne or N4-acetylcytosine as donor. Studies of electron spin resonance confirm these results. Keywords
