Abstract
Reproductive behavior, sexual behavior, and aggression related to mating were observed in several different groups of captive lemurs (Varecia variegata ) during a period of four breeding seasons. Vaginal smears were taken regularly from all subadult and adult females throughout their reproductive cycles. The testicle size of all subadult and adult males was measured periodically over the study period.
