IXODES (AFRIXODES) NEITZI, N-SP (ACARINA-IXODIDAE) FROM MOUNTAIN REEDBUCK IN SOUTH-AFRICA

Abstract
I. (A.) neitzi sp. nov. is described from females and males collected from the mountain reedbuck (Redunca fulvorufula) at Loskop Dam Nature Reserve, Transvaal, Republic of South Africa. The new species is distinguished from other closely related Ixodes spp. that occur in the Ethiopian region. Its attachment sites are noted and the area in which it occurs is described briefly.
