Abstract
We report here a detailed description of our measurements on dielectric and static Kerr constants in nCB molecules highly diluted in cyclohexane solutions. From previous experimental values we deduce at infinite-dilution apparent molecular values of dipole moment and Kerr constants. The study of the variation of those molecular values versus the number n of carbon atoms in the alkyl tail shows that for nCB with n greater than 6 the variation is different from those with n lower than 6; these significant differences are then succinctly commented upon. Keywords
