Abstract
The notion that soft-photon emission renormalizes the mobility of an electron undergoing quantum Brownian motion is due to Handel. From the viewpoint of Schwinger currentsource action functionals, the quantum-electrodynamic renormalizations of electronic conductance can be described by instanton shots. Classification of multiphoton-emission Feynman diagrams can be carried out using engineering radiative impedances. These statements are illustrated for a specific electron tunneling model of a shot-noise device. Keywords
