Abstract
A calibrator for catheter-manometer systems has been developed which is capable of simultaneously applying both static pressure (0-200 mm Hg) and sinusoidal pressure (0-70 mm Hg) at continuously variable frequency, 5 Hz-2 k Hz. Catheter resonances are determined by varying the frequency of applied pressure and seeking that frequency which gives a maximum output signal. Bubbles in a catheter-manometer system are detected by significant changes of resonance frequency with changing static pressure. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
