Abstract
The theory and mechanics of converting a Saco-Lowell sliver tester from a graphic-recording instrument to one which records by means of electrical counters are described. General design of the equipment is discussed and photographs of the machine are included. Experience with the converted instrument since March, 1949, indicates that it provides a worth-while improvement in accuracy and in speed of analyzing the uniformity of sliver and heavy roving. Keywords
