Abstract
Osteoid osteoma is a small benign tumor of bone most frequently encountered in young persons. The commonest symptom is pain. The concomitant occurrence of muscle atrophy and diminution of activity of muscle stretch reflexes in the involved extremity may erroneously suggest the presence of a primary neurologic disorder. Results of a review of 62 cases are presented. The condition is cured by complete surgical removal of the tumor. Keywords
