Abstract
The study examined performance, potential, aptitude, and career advancement differences between employees who voluntarily resigned from a natonal oil company and those continuing in the organization. Contrary to the existing literature, there was no indication that it is the high performers who more often leave. In fact the opposite was consistently demonstrated. Keywords
