Abstract
Chorea is a major criterion in diagnosis of rheumatic fever. When it occurs in a child without other signs of rheumatic fever and when other less common causes are ruled out, rheumatic fever prophylaxis is indicated. Other neurologic concerns in rheumatic fever are cerebral embolism from the heart and possible direct cerebral effects. Keywords
