Abstract
It is an odd feeling when you meet one of the most referenced people in quality assurance. You are not quite sure what to expect. Some, as the saying goes, are born great, others have greatness thrust upon them. Avedis Donabedian is a man with a foot in each camp, but he carries this off with warmth, humour and the genuine modesty of those who have nothing to prove. You could say I liked him.
