Abstract
This is an investigation of the surface plankton of the Laguna section of Lake Amatitlan, Guatemala during the summer of 1951. Quantitative collections were made weekly over an 8-week-period at 3 stations on the lake. The lake produced an abundant summer crop of plankton. Phytoplankton was predominant in number of species and number of individuals. Twelve spp., representing ten genera, are recorded as not previously identified from this area.
