Abstract
Fourier-transform infrared photoacoustic spectroscopy (FTIR-PAS) is shown to be a useful tool for structural studies of hydrogen and/or oxygen chemisorption on the surface of diamond powders. As compared with the diffuse reflectance method or the KBr pellet method, it has become clear that PAS has an advantage in terms of surface sensitivity. The possibility of quantitative analysis of chemisorbed hydrogen has also been demonstrated.Keywords
