A Regional Clinical Service for Sexual Problems: A three-year survey

Abstract
Three years' work of a co-ordinated clinical service for sexual problems was surveyed. This involved five different clinical settings. 1194 cases were seen during this period, equally distributed between male and female presenters. Details of presenting problems, their relationship to age, treatment given and a rough assessment of outcome are provided This clinic population presents a very heterogeneous collection of problems requiring a variety of treatment approaches. The types of problem referred varied to some extent according to the clinical setting. Of men presenting with erectile problems, 52% had concurrent physical disease of possible aetiological significance, emphasising the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to the management of such problems
