Abstract
It is essential to distinguish between an obstructed and an unobstructed hydronephrosis [in humans], as the management of the 2 types is quite different. Some of the radiographic and isotopic methods of distinguishing these 2 leave much to be desired and the place of dynamic studies was discussed. The etiology of pelviureteric function obstruction remains uncertain, but it is probable that 1 or more of several factors may be involved. The types of hydronephrosis were classified as chronic intermittent, unsuspected, equivocal and reflux-induced.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
