Abstract
The homologue distribution of alkylphenol ethoxylates can be narrowed by using the non‐standard catalyst proposed for alcohol ethoxylation. The reaction is carried out at 180–185°C in the presence of 0·3% catalyst in relation to the alkylphenol. The formation of increased amounts of dioxane and polyglycols is not observed. Keywords
