Abstract
Gout in the temporomandibular joint is rare, but very painful. However, it is readily diagnosed by blood uric acid determination, and is easy to treat. Consequently, when arthritic changes occur in the temporomandibular joint the possibility of this disease should be taken into consideration. A case with diagnostic difficulties is reported. Keywords
