Abstract
The ac breakdown voltage of a mineral oil was measured across a 440-Å gap. The results indicate that the dielectric strength increases linearly with frequency from the dc value of 0.15 MV/cm to a value of 5.0 MV/cm at 77 000 Hz. Further, the data indicate that the dc dielectric strength measured for a relatively large gap (2.5 mm) agrees with that for the very thin gap in the experiment. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
