Abstract
To the Editor: The recommended subcutaneous dose (0.25 mg) can be confused with the recommended oral dose of terbutaline (2.5 mg). We should like to report a case in which this confusion occurred.A 67-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital complaining of increasing dyspnea, wheezing and cough. Examination revealed tachycardia at rest (rate of 110), increased anteroposterior chest diameter, sibilant rhonchi and decreased breath sounds in all lung fields.
