Abstract
The control volume-based finite-element method for solution of the Navier-Stokes equations in vortex-streamfunction formulation is presented. The exponential interpolation function suggested by Baliga and Patankar is used for the vortex, whereas the linear interpolation function refers to the streamfunction. The new feature of the method lies in the formulation of boundary conditions for the vortex on a solid surface. Keywords
