Abstract
Accelerated rejection of male skin isografts by BCG infected female C57BL mice was demonstrated. Skin was grafted 2 weeks following intravenous or intracutaneous injection of 1 nag BCG. This accelerated rejection was compared to previously reported inhibition of tumor growth in BCG infected mice. Whereas it is not known at what phase of the rejection mechanism BCG exerts its influence, it now appears likely that increased resistance to the grafted tissue is in both instances mediated by a heightened immune response. Keywords
