Abstract
Efficient generation of high peak radiation has been achieved in the 0.72–7.7 μm region. A dye laser and its Stokes components in hydrogen gas are used to cover the total spectral range with powers between 1000 and 9 MW. The linewidth of the dye laser is 0.07 cm−1. A successful attempt was made to reduce it to 0.02 cm−1 without any change in the output power. Keywords
