A POSSIBLE MODE OF ACTION OF PEDICLE JEJUNAL GRAFTS ON GASTRIC SECRETION AS INDICATED BY CHANGES IN pH OF THE SURFACE OF THE MUCOSA OF THE STOMACH

Abstract
Studies of the pH of the surface of the gastric mucosa before and after implantation of pedicle grafts of jejunum in the wall of the stomach indicate that such grafts act on some phase of the acid secretory mechanism in which histamine plays a prominent role.
