Abstract
IN RECENT years many reports have appeared on new purified digitalis preparations. Revisions have also been made in the U.S.P. unit of potency of digitalis, with changes in the method of assay as well as in the strength of the official preparation. Many cases of severe toxicity from digitalis have recently been reported1 2 3 4 5 that indicate considerable confusion regarding the choice and dose of digitalis substances.
