Abstract
Tonsil and adenoid diseases in children continue to result in considerable morbidity despite the age of antibiotics. Immunologic studies have thus far shown no adverse effects as a result of adenoidectomy or tonsillectomy. However, because the indications for surgery remain controversial, each child must be considered on a case-by-case basis. Keywords
