Abstract
The L. weberi Scott recently described by Ito (1973) from Amakusa, southern Japan, is now described as a new species L. kikuchii. The new species is distinguishable from L. weberi in the abdominal ornamentation, the shape and setal lengths of the exopodite of leg 5 of both sexes and the shape of rostrum. L. weberi is also redescribed based upon the specimens of both sexes collected from Fukuoka. Abdominal ornamentations of both species were examined with a scanning electron microscope, and comparisons were made between them. Previous records of L. weberi and its synonyms are reexamined and discussed. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
