Abstract
The electrical resistivity of a sample can be determined from the impedance change, Delta Z, of a coil when the sample is inserted. The system described automatically adjusts the measuring frequency omega for a constant loss angle of Delta Z. This corresponds to a constant skin depth in the sample. The sample resistivity is therefore directly proportional to omega . In order to achieve very high accuracy and also insensitivity to drift, the empty coil impedance is automatically compensated. Measurements on liquid metals are reported. Keywords
