Abstract
In the previous paper (1), it was assumed chat some inhibitory soil substances in submergel peaty soil, such as ferrous iron, sulfide, organic acids, and unknown minor organic substances like humus subordinaten might have contributed to root damage. This assumption is draven from the results of the soil leachate experiments. Two other subjects to be investigated for full understanding of the mechanistu of root damageare are:Keywords
