Decays of Negative-Parity Baryons in a Quark Model

Abstract

Decay widths for baryons in the (70,

1^{-}

) supermultiplet are calculated using the symmetric quark model. Mixings are taken into account. The branching ratio

\frac{[Y_{0}^{*} (1519) \to N \bar{K}]}{[Y_{0}^{*} (1519) \to Σ π]}

shows that even a small mixing angle can be important.
