Primary Malignant Growths of the Trachea

Abstract
Primary cancer of the trachea is a rare condition: between 1943 and 1959, 19 cases were seen at the Christie Hospital & Holt Radium Institute, 16 of these having histological proof. The main clinical findings are described and treatment is discussed. Results of treatment confirm the lethal nature of the disease—only one case of this series has lived longer than 5 years.
