Abstract
A logical extension of the rehabilitation process for stroke survivors is health promotion. Many stroke victims incur secondary conditions and further disability by returning to an unhealthy lifestyle after they complete their rehabilitation. This article describes a comprehensive health promotion program that has been developed for stroke survivors. The program includes three major components: exercise, nutrition, and health behavior. Rehabilitation (physical and occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, rehabilitation engineering) is interwoven into the project. Keywords
