Abstract
Ants are attracted to and utilize sugar-rich extra-floral nectars, homopteran exudates and broken fruits, but will not utilize floral nectar. Several theories concerning this are proposed. The possibility of toxic or repugnant chemicals in the nectar is discussed. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
