Abstract
Wide spread collections and dissection of the various strains of A leucosphyrus, which ranges from India to Celebes and from Java to Formosa, positively proves its importance as a vector of malaria throughout the whole of its range, especially in jungle-covered areas and during the rainy seasons. It is the major vector in Borneo, and is very important in Sumatra and in the uplands of Burma and Assam.
