Abstract
The high-energy gamma rays following neutron capture in a platinum target have been studied at the Brookhaven-AECL fast chopper facility at Chalk River. The transitions to the ground state and the first two excited states in have been measured for 15 resonances from 11.9 to 296 eV. Relative transition probabilities for these cases have been determined and are compared to the chi-squared class of probability distribution functions.
