Abstract
The absence of the hypothalamo-hypophyseal complex influenced neither the ovarian atrophy nor the mullerian retrogression induced by an embryonic testicular graft in the female embryo. The hormone responsible for the mullerian retrogression probably has an inhibitory action on the embryonic ovary of the chick which is independent of the hypothalamo-hypophyseal complex.
