Heat Exchange Torques in Superfluids

Abstract
It is shown that the two-fluid model of helium II leads to the existence of heat exchange torques on nonuniformly heated bodies immersed in flowing helium. The torque on a long cylinder is calculated and shown to be of a magnitude which should be readily observable.Keywords
