Abstract
Equations for the self-inductances Ld and La of a reluctance machine having flux barriers and cutouts are developed. An electromagnetic model of the reluctance machine is postulated. Flux densities are found in the air gap proper, the cutouts, and the barriers. A comparison is made between measured and calculated results.Keywords
