Abstract
Evaluation of the physiological action of certain atmospheric elements encounters great difficulties. The biological influence of atmospheric electricity and, in particular, of air ions was studied by many investigators in this country and abroad. The initial results were not conclusive. Artificial generators of predominantly unipolar ions far beyond the concentrations encountered under natural conditions near the ground permitted an analysis of various somatic and mental reactions in persons exposed to ionized air. The results are most encouraging and warrant further studies. Keywords
